THE PREDICTION
Both of these teams desperately need the three points here. Hertha slipped into the relegation play-off place last weekend after their 2-0 defeat at Borussia Dortmund, their seventh loss in nine league games. Bayer Leverkusen, meanwhile, have gone from top to sixth in the space of three months, with a 2-1 defeat at home to Arminia Bielefeld last Sunday the latest in a string of poor results since the turn of the year, which has heaped pressure on coach Peter Bosz. Goals have been an issue for both teams, with the Berliners finding the net just five times in their last 11 outings and Bayer only scoring two goals in their last four Bundesliga games on the road. The reverse fixture ended goalless, and under 2.5 goals looks likely again given the poor form of the two sides.
