Not only does this fixture have implications for the battle for Champions League places, but there is also a psychological advantage to be gained with these two teams facing each other again in the DFB-Pokal final next Thursday. Borussia Dortmund come into it in good form having won their last four Bundesliga matches, scoring 11 goals and conceding just three, to leave them a point off the top four. They have also only lost one of their last nine league games on home soil. Leipzig, on the other hand, are all but certain to finish second, so Bayern-bound coach Julian Nagelsmann may be prioritising winning his first trophy next week. He is also missing key midfield duo Tyler Adams and Christopher Nkunku for this one, so with form, home advantage and greater incentive on their side, Dortmund look like the team to back.
