THE PREDICTION

Bayer Leverkusen’s 3-0 defeat at Hertha last time out proved to be the final straw for coach Peter Bosz, who was replaced by Hannes Wolf during the international break. His job is to turn around Leverkusen’s slump in form since the start of the year, which has left them teetering on the edge of the European places, and the new boss could not have asked for a much kinder debut fixture than Schalke at home. The basement boys have collected just one point from their last five games and only managed to score once, and they have still not won a Bundesliga away game since November 2019. The change of coach should give the hosts enough of a boost to secure a win to nil here.
