THE PREDICTION

Schalke will be relegated from the top flight for the first time since 1988 if they lose here, a fate which has seemed inevitable for quite some time now. Bottom since January, the Royal Blues have registered just two league wins all season, have scored the fewest goals and conceded the most. Arminia Bielefeld’s survival hopes are looking much better after taking eight points from their last five matches. Coach Frank Kramer has shored up the defence since coming in but they remain the second-lowest scorers behind Schalke, so a Bielefeld win with under 2.5 goals is an appealing option for this one.
