THE PREDICTION
It is coming up to a year since Schalke 04 last won a Bundesliga match – interestingly, it was against these same opponents in January of this year. However, the odds look stacked against them to repeat that feat and end their long wait for a win. As if things were not bad enough for recently appointed coach Manuel Baum, he has a lengthy list of absentees to contend with, as up to eight players could miss the short trip to Monchengladbach. The Royal Blues are struggling for goals and that will not be helped by the addition of striker Goncalo Paciencia to the injury list. Borussia have been solid, if not spectacular, at home in the league this season, and boosted by their 4-0 win over Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Wednesday, they should take the three points on Saturday evening.
