THE PREDICTION

This is a huge match for both teams, but particular Schalke 04, who sit in sixth-place heading into this latest round of 2. Bundesliga fixtures, six points behind league leaders St. Pauli. Three points here would emphasise that they are still well in the automatic promotion fight, however they will have to take on the hosts without star striker Simon Terrode, who is injured and without head coach Dimitrios Grammozis on the touchline after he returned a positive Covid-19 test. There is no escaping the fact that this is a huge blow for the visitors and this lack of firepower may end up costing them against a St. Pauli side who have won all seven of their home games this season. It would be a big surprise if the hosts weren’t to find the net at least once on their own ground and that may be all they need when considering Terrode’s absence, so backing St. Pauli to edge this encounter looks the smart play, although to be on the safe, consider doing so via the draw no bet market.
