One week after the departure of coach Bernhard Trares, Wurzburger Kickers came from 1-0 down to win 2-1 in their rearranged fixture at Hannover on Thursday, keeping their faint hopes of survival alive. It was only their fifth league win of the campaign, three of which have come in their last nine games. Nurnberg also returned to winning ways last time out, beating Paderborn 2-1 to move six points clear of safety. This is the sixth encounter between these two teams and the previous five have produced a total of 17 goals.
