After five consecutive wins and a draw, St. Pauli suffered their first defeat in nearly two months with a 2-0 reverse at home to Paderborn on Monday. Nevertheless, they are all but safe from relegation now, which can certainly not be said of Osnabruck. They did at least end a nine-match losing streak with a 1-1 draw against Nurnberg last weekend, but they have not won or even picked up a point at home since October. Having struggled on their travels in the early part of the campaign, St. Pauli are unbeaten in five on the road and with the hosts also grappling with a lengthy injury list, an away win looks appealing.
