Jahn Regensburg eased their relegation fears with a much-needed win at Osnabruck in midweek, and they have now lost just two of their 10 league matches, winning three and drawing five. They have tended to struggle against the top teams in the division this season, though, with four of their last seven defeats coming against the current top four. That bodes well for Heidenheim, who go into this meeting in fifth place on the back of consecutive wins. Frank Schmidt’s men have collected most of their points at home this season but their away form has improved in recent months, with just one defeat in their last five trips. Regensburg do have a good record in this fixture but the current standings are on the visitors’ side, plus they have had more rest. All things considered, draw no bet on Heidenheim may be a smart choice.
