THE PREDICTION
Hamburger SV moved back up to second with a precious 2-0 win at leaders Bochum last Friday, which ended a five-match winless streak. However, like a number of teams in Bundesliga 2, they have been hit by COVID this week, with the division’s top scorer Simon Terodde ruled out for this one. His absence will be a blow for HSV, especially against dangerous opposition. Heidenheim have won four of their last five games and still carry an outside chance of sneaking into the top three, although realistically they need a result here to keep that alive. Frank Schmidt’s men have won three of the five previous meetings between the two teams, including a 3-2 victory in the reverse fixture this season. Both teams scored then and both teams have scored in six of Heidenheim’s last eight league games, and in four of their last five on the road, so that looks the standout market to go for.
