THE PREDICTION

Bochum’s lead at the top of Bundesliga 2 was cut to two points after their 2-0 defeat to promotion rivals Hamburger SV, but they have not suffered back-to-back league defeats so far this season and have only lost one of their last six away matches. The Merkur Spiel-Arena has been a difficult place to go for visiting teams this season, though, with Fortuna Dusseldorf losing just once on home soil. Uwe Rosler’s men also have a score to settle after being thrashed 5-0 at Bochum earlier in the campaign. This should be a far closer contest and given that Fortuna have shared the points in a lot of games recently, backing the draw could prove to be a smart play here - a result that probably neither side would be too unhappy with.
