THE PREDICTION
Erzgebirge Aue’s recent inconsistent results are reflective of their whole season. Dirk Schuster’s side have not been in action since their 3-1 defeat at home to St. Pauli on 10 April, but they have only suffered back-to-back defeats twice this season and have yet to record the same result for three games running. Nurnberg’s weekend fixture was also postponed but they still have a comfortable seven-point cushion from the bottom three having lost just one of their last seven games. Both teams have scored in each of the last five and that trend looks likely to continue as Aue have failed to find the net in just two of their last nine at home.
