- Karlsruher SC’s unbeaten run came to an end at the worst possible time as they were narrowly defeated by Erzgebirge Aue and they attempt to respond immediately in what will be a tough contest.
- An early goal for Aue proved to be the difference between the two teams as Karlsruher failed to find a leveller in what was their first defeat in five matches after a win and three successive draws.

These two teams both need a victory in this contest but for very
different reasons. Karlsruher SC are struggling at the wrong end of the
table while Stuttgart have promotion in their sights but they both
suffered setbacks last week. The away side will be expected to win but

games and they can keep it tight to make it a low-scoring contest.
