STRASBOURG
Strasbourg moved a step closer to securing their place in Ligue 1 next season as they played out a draw with Troyes. They were not far off securing the win that would have guaranteed their spot but Habib Diarra’s opener was cancelled out by Rony Lopes, shortly after Alexander Djiku had been given his marching orders with both sides finishing with 10 men following Gauthier Gallon’s earlier red card.
That point leaves Strasborug with a six-point cushion over 17th-placed Nantes with just two games remaining but their superior goal difference should ensure they remain in the division even if they do not pick up another point.
They have turned things around of late with just one loss in their last six matches while they are unbeaten in their last three. At home, they have managed to secure nine points from a possible 12 in their last four matches.
PSG
PSG have all-but secured the Ligue 1 title and just need a point to be mathematically certain. They were 1-2 victors over Auxerre last time out, prevailing in a nervy contest as they failed to kick-on following a rapid start.
Kylian Mbappe scored twice inside the opening eight minutes of the game as PSG looked set to run riot but they failed to find the back of the net again and Auxerre pulled one back early in the second half through Lassine Sinayoko. Despite that, PSG got the job done and can seal top spot here.
They come into this having won their last three games while they have also won six of their last seven. They have been excellent on the road of late having won their last five, although they have conceded in four of those.
THE PREDICTION
PSG can claim the Ligue 1 title with a point in this game with Strasbourg but it will be all three they will be chasing. The hosts have performed well recently and have secured their spot in the top flight as a result of their form but this will be a huge test for them. PSG have been better on the road than they have on home soil in recent matches and they can claim a sixth successive victory on their travels.
