After missing out on European football last season, Monaco had to improve this time around and they have done just that with an impressive beginning to this campaign, following some interesting signings during the summer transfer window, such as Denis Zakaria and the big money arrival of Folarin Balogun from Arsenal.
Under the management of former Borussia Monchengladbach boss Adi Hutter, the principality club come into this on the back of a 2-0 defeat away to Lille in their most recent outing, last weekend. They have managed six victories and two draws, though in eight of their nine other matches and have managed to score 23 goals in that time, too.

Ligue 1 has often seen many surprise packages over the last half a decade to a decade or so and Stade Brest started as if they would be another one of the unlikely teams to challenge for potential European qualification. Under the management of Eric Roy, though, they have begun to just drift and regress to the mean.
They come into this on the back of a four-match winless run of form which has included back-to-back defeats ahead of this one; against Lille and Paris Saint-Germain. They had started with four victories in their opening six matches but were always expected to drift away and regress to the so-called ‘mean’.
