THE PREDICTION
Metz contested am entertaining 2-2 draw with Lens last time out in another decent away performance but they return home to Stade Saint-Symphorien here where they have curiously struggled to pick up results recently having won just one of their last six games on home turf. They have half a chance of grabbing the final European place on offer in Ligue 1 though, and Rennes are one of the teams they are battling with. The visitors ended their winless run with a gritty 1-0 victory over Strasbourg last Sunday in what was also Bruno Genesio’s first win in charge so they are likely to have renewed belief here. Both sides will go for the win in this one which could well lead to an open contest that sees both teams score.
