It has not been an ideal start to life as Marseille boss for Jorge Sampaoli as, while last week’s defeat to league-leaders Lille was expected, they followed that by crashing out of the Coup de France to fourth-tier side Canet Roussillon. The ex-Argentina boss will be looking at this fixture as the perfect opportunity to get his first win though, as Rennes are on a miserable run of form at the minute.
