THE LOWDOWN

LIVERPOOL

  • Liverpool return to Premier League action on the back of a 0-2 away victory against Inter Milan in their Champions League Round of 16 first leg clash.
  • The only negative from Liverpool’s win in Milan was an injury to Diogo Jota, which will rule him out of this match although the extent of his injury is still not yet known.

NORWICH

  • As expected, Norwich were put to the sword by Man City last weekend, ending their run of four games unbeaten in all competitions and things are not expected to get any easier for Dean Smith’s side here.
  • Republic of Ireland international Adam Idah is out for the season, whilst his international teammate Andrew Omobamidele will definitely miss out alongside Norwich’s first-choice goalkeeper Tim Krul.

THE PREDICTION

Although fatigue could be an issue for Liverpool following their Champions League commitments, the strength-in-depth within their squad should ensure that both standards and fitness levels remain high, allowing Jurgen Klopp’s side to play their natural game here against Norwich. Whilst the Canaries have improved significantly over the last few weeks, they are rank outsiders here and a long afternoon is likely to be on the cards for them. Any outcome other than a Liverpool win would be considered one of the biggest shocks of the season so far.

Tip: LIVERPOOL TO WIN
