EVERTON PREVIEW: STICKY SITUATION FOR THE TOFFEES
Sean Dyche’s Everton have won one of their opening seven games across all competitions so far this season and that came against League Two Doncaster Rovers in the first round of the EFL Cup last month. They did manage to collect their first point of the Premier League season last weekend as they shared a 1-1 draw with Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
The Toffees took the lead in that game via Iliman Ndiaye but eventually conceded an equaliser to former Montpellier winger Stephy Mavididi in the second-half. That followed on from successive matches in which they had led by two goals to nil before losing 3-2 to both AFC Bournemouth and then Aston Villa.
CRYSTAL PALACE PREVIEW: EAGLES LOOK LIKE TAKING FLIGHT
Oliver Glasner replaced Roy Hodgson in February and helped Crystal Palace propel themselves away from something of a relegation battle and into the top-half of the table to finish last season’s Premier League. The Eagles are still somehow winless, though, but are now unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions.
That has involved two EFL Cup victories against Championship opposition as well as three successive draws in the Premier League but performances are beginning to improve as was shown by a goalless draw with Manchester United last weekend in which they were denied a late winner via some spectacular saves from Andre Onana.
EVERTON TEAM NEWS: BRANTHWAITE CLOSER
Key Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite has taken a step closer to returning to full fitness this weekend after featuring for the under 21's this week alongside fellow previously unavailable defender Nathan Patterson.
Those two are still both expected to miss this week but both Vitaly Mykolenko and Idrissa Gueye have returned from respective issues with Seamus Coleman, Armando Broja, Youssef Chermiti all sidelined for the hosts.

Crystal Palace and United States international defender Chris Richards has been added to the Eagles' injury list for this weekend after suffering a hamstring injury and he is expected to be unavailable for a 'few weeks'.
Palace will have both Trevoh Chalobah and Matheus Franca back available, though, with the latter not set to be involved to avoid him being rushed back into the line-up.

Everton will be boosted off the pitch by the confirmation this week that Blue Holdings and the Friedkin Group have agreed a deal to takeover the club but the Toffees remain a bit of a mess on the pitch. Crystal Palace have been growing into the season and have shown themselves to be a genuinely good side in the recent past. Goodison can turn quickly when things go badly and a double chance bet in favour of the south Londoners could be good value.
