Groningen and Twente sat in sixth and seventh, respectively, of the Eredivisie after their Thursday night fixtures and three points separates them as they face-off here. Groningen overcame a spirited Willem II side 2-3 away from home to make it five wins from their last seven league games with just one loss over that span. That kind of form would put them in good stead against a side with Twente’s form of three losses from their last five but the visitors’ have won their last four away games in a row to make this very interesting indeed.
