Austin come into this on the back of a slender 1-0 defeat away to Portland Timbers last weekend. They only had their first season last year but have started the 2022 campaign exceptionally, prior to that defeat. They had won their first two matches of the season. They now come up against one of the pre-season favourites for the 2022 Supporters’ Shield but the Seattle Sounders have suffered from a stalling opening. The Sounders come into this having beaten Leon by four goals to one on aggregate in the CONCACAF Champions League quarter-finals but they had lost their first two matches of the season before an entertaining 3-2 victory over LA Galaxy last weekend. Both teams scoring looks a good bet for this one.
