THE PREDICTION

Sporting Gijon come into this on the back of a 2-2 draw against Malaga in the league last weekend. The Asturians sit in the middle-of-the-table in the Segunda after they defeated Villarreal in a shock win in the Round of 32 of the Copa del Rey. They now come up against a Cadiz side that may need to shift their attention to the league as they attempt to avoid relegation after a very difficult campaign. Given Sporting’s previous round upset against Villarreal means they will come into this as the slight favourites, especially with home advantage.
