Canet Roussillon’s stunning run to the quarter-finals has included a memorable victory over Ligue 1 outfit Marseille and they now face another top tier side in the form of Montpellier, who will see this as an excellent opportunity to reach the semi-finals of the Coupe de France for the first time since the 1996-97 season. Given that they are unbeaten in their last 14 games in all competitions, anything other than a win here for Montpellier would be a seismic shock and, although fourth tier Canet Roussillon will give it everything, the Ligue 1 side should ultimately prevail given their superior quality all over the pitch.
