Elias Ymer vs Tristan Boyer prediction
Elias Ymer suffered a disappointing first-round loss in Braunschweig last time out and the Swede will be hoping for a more positive showing in his home country this week. He did manage to get through to the semi-finals of the Sassuolo Challenger last month on clay, but his form aside from that run has been mostly unimpressive.
Tristan Boyer has struggled for any kind of consistency this season. He got through his first-round matches at the Australian Open and Indian Wells, but he hasn’t been able to get past round two of any of the events he’s competed in since the start of the year.
Ymer will have home support for this one and has more recent victories under his belt. He seemed to get some momentum going last month on the Challenger Tour and he’ll hope he can replicate it on the ATP. He may be ranked below Boyer, but we think he’s excellent value to come through and win this one.
