Egypt vs Algeria prediction

The first outing between these two sides took place on Friday with Egypt managing to defeat the Algerians by three goals to two, in an entertaining encounter at the Cairo International Stadium in the capital city.

Al Duhail forward Adil Boulbina gave Algeria a 31st minute lead in that game before an Imadeddine Azzi own goal levelling things before half-time. Nassim L’Ghoul then re-established Algeria’s lead mid-way through the second-half before a dramatic late turnaround sparked by the hosts, with an 81st minute equaliser scored by Ragab Nabil and an 89th minute winner notched by 32-year-old attacker Hossam Hassan.

Both of these first teams will be heading to the 2026 FIFA World Cup and they both have strong sides, but there has to be a fair enough reading that Egyptian football, particularly at club level, has a lot more depth of quality.
