Egypt vs Algeria prediction

Egypt’s first-team have been extremely strong of late as they eased to qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup ahead of what was a strong Burkina Faso side. As for this one, though, there will be a little bit less quality, albeit they do have players coming from their far stronger Egyptian Premier League.

The Algerians, again, at first-team level have been improving under the management of Vladimir Petkovic. Whilst the north Africans are reigning champions of the FIFA Arab Cup, they actually had close to their strongest squad in that tournament and so that is expected to take a dip this time around.

These remain two of the stronger sides in Africa, but the depth of Egyptian football given their domestic structure, should mark them out as the favourites for this one.
