Dinamo Tbilisi were pegged back but still won by two goals to one against Mondorf-les-Bains in the first-leg of their UEFA Europa Conference League first qualifying round tie last week. Dinamo Tbilisi went 2-0 up early on via goals from Algassime Bah and Mate Vatsadze before Mondorf pulled a goal back via Hatim Far in the second half.

Dinamo Tbilisi, under the management of former Newcastle United attacker Temur Ketsbaia, haven’t won a European tie since they defeated Connah’s Quay Nomads in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League in 2020. Mondorf-les-Bains are UEFA competition debutants.

This does appear to be a mis-match on paper and Dinamo Tbilisi will be expected to ease to a comfortable victory at the Boris Paichadze Dinamo Arena.
