vs Nick Kenny

PROSPECTS
The 2019 PDC World Youth Champion became the first ‘challenger’ to win a Premier League match when he defeated Gary Anderson in March and back-to-back World Championship quarter-final appearances really prove his calibre. I’m expecting Humphries to be fighting it out with Devon Petersen for top spot in the group.

DEVON PETERSEN

vs Joe Murnan

Last meeting: Joe Murnan 6-3 Devon Petersen (Oct 2015 – Players Championship)

vs Nick Kenny

PROSPECTS
Devon Petersen was arguably producing his best ever standard of play on the PDC Tour in the early months of 2020 with a string of high averages on the Players Championship circuit. The South African star has a good chance of topping this section.

JOE MURNAN

vs Devon Petersen

Last meeting: Joe Murnan 6-3 Devon Petersen (Oct 2015 – Players Championship)

vs Nick Kenny
N/A

PROSPECTS
Murnan is the only player in the group who has a PDC ProTour title to his name but that success did come all the way back in 2015 and he hasn’t come close to replicating the achievement. Still, a win against Nathan Aspinall on the circuit in 2020 shows he is still a threat.

NICK KENNY

2020/21 SEASON SO FAR
Best Results in PDC Ranking Tournaments
Last 16 x2
Last 64 x2

Stats in PDC Players Championship tournaments
Average – 91.32
180s – 45 (0.34 per leg)

vs Devon Petersen

vs Joe Murnan

PROSPECTS
Nick Kenny made the switch from the BDO at the start of 2020 and won his PDC Tour Card on the final day of Q School. He’s a better player than his ranking suggests and his chances can’t be discounted easily.

THREE PICKS FROM 3 DART ANALYST

Devon Petersen to score the most 180s vs Joe Murnan

Devon Petersen’s improvement in 2020 has led to an excellent 180 hitting ratio and he is capable of outscoring Murnan on the maximum count in this game.

Over 7.5 legs – Luke Humphries vs Devon Petersen

This is an exciting looking clash which could well be the crucial match that decides who tops the group. It’s got the potential to be a close affair.

Devon Petersen to win the group

The good form of Petersen in 2020 has already been touched on in this article and I think he looks to be decent value to top the section.
