Key stats

  • Croatia are unbeaten in their last 14 World Cup qualifying matches (W11 D3).
  • Croatia have kept 11 clean sheets in their last 14 World Cup qualifying matches.
  • Croatia are unbeaten in their last 14 World Cup qualifying matches at home (W11 D3), since a 1-2 defeat against Belgium in October 2013.
  • Gibraltar have lost all their previous 25 World Cup qualifying matches. They have lost all 26 matches in UEFA European Championship qualifying also.

Croatia vs Gibraltar prediction

Croatia, under the management of Zlatko Dalic, come into this one on the back of earning themselves an impressive and needed goalless draw in Prague against Czechia. That result has edged them towards qualification after they battered the Czechs over the summer.

They face a Gibraltar side that have already regressed from their already low ebb and have perhaps moved themselves into being the weakest side in European international football alongside Liechtenstein. They were most recently beaten 2-0 by Oceanian side New Caledonia the other day.

Croatia will be able to do as they did over the summer to Gibraltar and that is rack up a score and cement a heavy win with home advantage in Zagreb.

Croatia vs Gibraltar tip: Croatia to win -3 handicap
