DECCAN GLADIATORS
- Deccan Gladiators come into the T10 League coached by Mushtaq Ahmed and they can count on Australian star Shane Watson as their icon player and captain as the newly-formed team will have high hopes of going far in the tournament.
- They have a series of T20 specialists in their ranks with Tymal Mills, Fawad Ahmed, Sheldon Cottrell and Mason Crane form a talented bowling unit but the batting possesses some serious firepower.
- Watson will open the batting and he is supported by Anton Devcich, Ben Cutting, Kieron Pollard and Mohammad Shahzad who will be keen to do well after being dropped by Afghanistan for disciplinary reasons.
DELHI BULLS
- Delhi Bulls are another team that have been newly-formed this year to participate in the T10 League and they will be coached by Kiwi Stephen Fleming and captained by their icon player Eoin Morgan who joins the team after national team duty in New Zealand with England.
- Morgan will be joined by his Middlesex colleague Paul Stirling to add yet more firepower to the batting while they can also boast Shoaib Malik, Sherfane Rutherford, and David Willey who should all enjoy conditions in Abu Dhabi.
- The absence of current Pakistani national team players in the T10 League means the Bulls will be without Mohammad Hasnain, but their bowling unit possesses plenty of quality still with Adil Rashid, Ravi Rampaul and Ali Khan.
THE PREDICTION
There will be plenty of quality on show when the Deccan Gladiators face off against Delhi Bulls on the opening day of T10 League. The Gladiators look to just have the greater all-rounder quality in their team, with the bigger hitters, which could just about make the difference but there really is little to choose between the two. The Bulls have players that have been more active in recent months and that could tip it in their favour, but the batting firepower of the Gladiators may just swing it for them.
