LAHORE QALANDARS
- Lahore Qalandars made it back-to-back wins and five victories from their last six matches as they got the better of Quetta Gladiators last time out to stay in the hunt for top spot in the Pakistan Super League.
- Shaheen Shah Afridi was the key man as he took the wickets of England international duo Jason Roy and James Vince, removing both men for a duck which helped limit the Gladiators to 141/7 before Fakhar Zaman (53) and Kamran Ghulam (55*) got the job done with the bat.
KARACHI KINGS
- Karachi Kings’ miserable tournament continued as they lost for the eighth successive game in this year’s Pakistan Super League, although they did put in their second strong performance in-a-row.
- The Kings posted 174/6 against top of the standings Multan Sultans and did a solid job of defending it but were unable to do so as their opponents were able to reach their target with just three deliveries to spare.
THE PREDICTION
Karachi Kings are still without a win in the Pakistan Super League but they are at least looking competitive as shown with their last two performances. They will be desperate to avoid the embarrassment of going the entire tournament without a win but they face a tough ask to end their drought in this game with Lahore Qalandars. With just two defeats in their seven games to date, the Qalandars can still finish in top spot and should be able to improve on their brilliant run of form by claiming another success in this contest.
