- India’s thumping eight-wicket win over Scotland keeps them in with a chance of reaching the semi-finals, although that chance may be over by the time that they take to the field here should New Zealand emerge triumphant over Afghanistan the day before this match.

India are understandably a far stronger team than Namibia in all departments whether it be batting or bowling and they have no excuse not to secure a comfortable win. Namibia to their credit will no doubt put in a strong performance in a fixture that is a testament to how far they have come as a cricketing nature. However, that won’t be enough for them to avoid defeat.
