- Australia were much more convincing in the third T20i clash of the series against Sri Lanka with that victory securing the series with two games to spare and a whitewash is now very much on the cards.
- The Australians proved to be too good with bat and ball as they chased down their target of 122 with 19 balls to spare, largely thanks to the efforts of Aaron Finch (35) and Glenn Maxwell (39).
SRI LANKA
- Sri Lanka succumbed to a series defeat to Australia after losing for the third game in-a-row as they failed to build on a good performance in the second contest between the pair, falling to a straightforward defeat last time out.
- The tourists were handed a huge blow before the start of the third contest with the news that key bowler Wanindu Hasaranga had tested positive for COVID-19 and he will have to sit out the rest of the series.
THE PREDICTION
Australia were comfortable victors in the third game of the T20i series against Sri Lanka and will now go in search of a fourth successive win. They will be eyeing a whitewash and while they continue to experiment with their line-up having selected Ashton Agar to open the batting in the third game, the hosts are likely to be too good for the tourists once again with the gulf in class between the two teams set to tell once again.
