MUMBAI INDIANS

PUNJAB KINGS
- Punjab Kings should be sitting on three wins from their four matches but they somehow contrived to throw the victory away as they fell to a heart-breaking loss to Gujarat Kings in their most recent contest.
- PBKS put themselves in what should have been a winning position having left GT needing 17 off the final four deliveries and 12 off the last two but Odean Smith was whacked for back-to-back sixes to condemn the Kings to defeat in the worst possible circumstances.
THE PREDICTION
Mumbai Indians will be desperate to record their first win of the tournament as they take on Punjab Kings in what is an important clash for both sides. MI are yet to win a game so far this season, losing all four games while PBKS come into this on the back of a four-game W-L sequence. They should have won last time out having allowed Gujarat Titans to score successive sixes with the final two balls of the match but if they are in the right place mentally, the Kings should be able to respond here and they are backed to worsen the Indians’ woes.
