Canada vs Ecuador prediction

Coached by former Leeds United boss Jesse Marsch, Canada come into this one on the back of a goalless draw against Colombia last month. The Canadians have been struggling for entertainment of late with their last seven games having consisted of just 11 goals since beating Curacao by six goals to nil in the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

They now face an Ecuador side that have an abundance of young talent coming through across the park. The Ecuadorians most recently shared 1-1 draws with Canada’s co-hosts, the United States and Mexico, extending their unbeaten run of form to 13 matches; with six of those games finishing goalless.

These are two sides that will be confident of good tournaments next summer but they are two sides that opt for control and defensive cohesion before front foot play.

Canada vs Ecuador tip: Under 2.5 goals
