Cameron Menzies vs Ross Smith prediction
Cameron Menzies produced one of the performances of his career to defeat world number two Luke Humphries 10-7 in the first round.
The Scot's maiden Winter Gardens victory was aided by a magnificent 170 finish to cap off a memorable performance, and one that was not entirely surprising given that he had been playing some high-quality darts in recent months.
He will likely need to be at this best again though, as his second-round opponent Ross Smith delivered an excellent display in his 10-6 win over a dangerous Kevin Doets.
The Englishman, who averaged over 100 himself, defied a 104.19 average from his opponent - the highest ever posted by a debutant - and will now look to reach the quarter-finals in Blackpool for the second time in his career.
With both men in form, this could be a cracker, and one that we expect to go over 18.5 legs.
Cameron Menzies vs Ross Smith tip: Over 18.5 legs
