Burundi vs Zambia prediction

Burundi come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Gabon to finish off what was a tough CAF qualifying campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, as they finished below the Gabonese as well as African champions the Ivory Coast. Unlike a lot of teams on the continent, they play quite a proactive and entertaining style.

Following their own poor qualifying campaign over recent months, former Chelsea boss Avram Grant has since parted company with Zambia as the one-time African champions begin a new era. The Zambians most recently suffered a 3-1 defeat to what is becoming a strong South Africa side.

Despite the fact Burundi themselves aren’t in great form, they would appear slight favourites for this one with their home advantage.

Burundi vs Zambia tip: Double chance – Burundi to win or draw
