Cousu Main should be coming into this with a double under his belt but fell on his hurdling debut at Lingfield when looking like he had every chance, although he was able to right the wrongs of that effort when going in at Uttoxeter in his following race. Dan Skelton will like what he saw in that race and he looks well-placed to secure another victory in this one.

Green Vault will go in search of a hat-trick and looks like he has every chance of doing so. Lucinda Russell’s six-year-old has won both races since switching to handicaps and having won on this course last month, he can go in again here to complete the treble.

Freewheelin won last time out at Southwell, scoring an impressive win which has seen him pushed up 4lbs as a result. He does look capable of overcoming that however and can do enough to get his nose in front to make it three wins in his last four outings with him being a former C&D winner only helping his cause.
