Ebro River is a former Group 1 winner and should have too much for the rest of the horses in this Group 3 contest. Wasn’t suited to a step up in trip to 7f last time out but can start this season on the right note back over 6f, the distance over which he won the Phoenix Stakes.

Jamil finally ended his losing run over hurdles by coming out on top in a race at Newcastle in March before following that up by on the flat at Catterick last week. Runs under a penalty for that success but it may not be enough to stop him going in once again.

Rockstar Ronnie could only finish fourth on his return from a four-month absence last time out on this course having won his previous two races. He is a C&D winner and will come on for that run last month so should be one of the leading contenders in this race.
