He comes into this under a penalty but the form he showed when producing a winning debut over hurdles back in October and subsequent efforts since suggest another finish in the frame is on the cards here, especially as he has recently undergone a wind operation.

Pottlerath still possesses the maiden tag but has not been too far away recently and can finally get off the mark here. The seven-year-old was second in an 11-runner handicap last time out and coming into this off the same mark, he has every chance of going close once again here. Even if he does not win, his consistency of late should ensure a return with an each-way bet.

Whittle Le Woods is a consistent type and regularly finishes in the frame but needs to find a way to get his nose in front more often. He has just one win from his last eight races but can be first past the post in this one. He has looked good since moving to a new yard, scoring a victory in the middle of January and with cheekpieces applied for the first time, that move could be enough to secure a second win in his last three races.
