THE PREDICTION
Both of these teams will be disappointed to only be playing for seventh place in the Philippines but they still have a lot of pride to play for. Slovenia came unstuck against Lithuania and went down 100-84 on Thursday while Italy were edged out 87-82 by Latvia. Fatigue was arguably a greater factor for Slovenia with star Luka Doncic looking well below par and in need of a rest. While he remains defiant in wanting to play this game, it would be no surprise to see him rested. The schedule has been slightly kinder to the Italians with more time between matches in the knockout phase and that could well work in their favour here. They are slightly favoured to get the win.
