This Bangladesh team have real momentum behind them following their incredible turnaround in Sri Lanka. The Tigers reeled off consecutive wins and in dominating fashion, triumphing by 83 runs and eight wickets respectively. That underlines the challenge Pakistan will face here, despite sweeping Bangladesh at home in a three-game T20i series just a few weeks ago.

Expect far more of a challenge from Bangladesh here as the pitch isn’t likely to be as batter friendly, which will make things very difficult for a Pakistan batting unit who put the Tigers to the sword on the flat pitches back home. In Mirpur however, we could see slower tracks conducive to spin and if that is the case, then there’s real value in backing Bangladesh to spring a surprise in game one.
