Coached by Orges Shehi, Kosovan side Ballkani are looking to build on their progress in the last couple of European campaigns. For example, they reached the group stages of the 2023/24 UEFA Europa Conference League, before they then managed to win at least one of their two legs in three qualifying games in UEFA competition last season.
They now face a Floriana side that came through a topsy turvy and entertaining second qualifying round tie against Welsh opposition, Haverfordwest County, in the UEFA Europa Conference League earlier this month. They defeated the Welsh by two goals to one, coming from behind, in the first-leg, before then winning 3-2 in Wales.
Ballkani will believe they are the stronger of the two sides in this tie, but Floriana have shown a capability to get forward so an entertaining home win seems likely for this first-leg.
