Austria Vienna vs Spaeri prediction

Austria Vienna come into this one on the back of a 2-1 pre-season friendly defeat to Hertha Berlin in their most recent outing at the weekend. The Austrians finished third in the Austrian Bundesliga last season, only just behind two strong sides in Sturm Graz and Red Bull Salzburg.

They now face a Spaeri side that are embarking upon their first ever European campaign, under the management of Anzor Kighuzardze. In fact, they are still in the second-tier in Georgia, having finished in mid-table in the Evronuli Liga 2, but they pulled off a major upset to win the 2024 Georgian Cup.

This is a major mis-match, with one side of European heritage taking on a Georgian second division side, and Austria Vienna are the firm favourites with home advantage in this first-leg.
