Alan Pardew is reportedly one game away from losing his job as manager of West Brom, and with his side currently seven points from safety the outlook is looking bleak for Baggies fans as the prospect of relegation looms large. If Pardew is to keep his job, then he will need to deliver all three points when he and his side travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford on Saturday.
Watford have seen something of a revival in fortunes since Javi Gracia took charge of the Hornets with their slide down the table being halted. West Brom have lost their last four league outings and there is little to suggest that it won’t be five in a row come Saturday afternoon, a defeat that could spell the end of Alan Pardew’s short tenure in the West Midlands.
MEMORABLE MEETING
Watford’s last win over West Brom in the Premier League came back in April 2017. Vicarage Road was the setting as M’Baye Niang and Troy Deeney’s goals either side of the break meant that the Hornets eased to a relatively comfortable 2-0 win, leaving Tony Pulis and his players to return to the Hawthorns empty handed.
