PREDICTION
Paul Lambert’s unbeaten run as new Stoke manager ended last weekend when Bournemouth came from behind to earn all three points at the Vitality Stadium, a result which subsequently sees them drop back into the bottom three. It is desperately tight at that end of the table, something that Brighton are fully aware of. They at least have given themselves some breathing space after their impressive win over West Ham last Saturday. Stoke are conceding exactly two goals a game so far this season but Brighton have struggled in front of goal and for all of the Potters' defensive woes, you get the feeling that they will have enough to come out on top this time around.
MEMORABLE MEETING
The only previous Premier League meeting between these two clubs was back in November 2017 and it saw Brighton and Stoke play out a 2-2 draw at the AMEX Stadium. It was an entertaining game which saw honours even as Jose Izquierdo’s goal on the hour levelled proceedings for the Seagulls and it therefore meant that the points were shared that evening.
