PREDICTION
It may be a fortnight later than planned but the title winning party will take place at the Eithad this weekend as Manchester City have finally been crowned Premier League champions for the 2017-18 campaign.

It probably was not in the fashion that everyone connected with the club would have hoped or expected, but at the same time there are not going to be any complaints from Pep Guardiola and his superstar squad of players. They were crowned champions after West Brom’s surprise defeat to Manchester United last weekend and because of that they will be afforded a guard of honour by Sunday’s opponents Swansea.

Carlos Carvalhal’s men have either picked the best or the worst time to play Manchester City – the worst if the champions decide to show just why they have been head and shoulders above the rest or the best if they decide to coast between now and the end of the campaign.

Coasting is one thing that Swansea certainly cannot do, especially after not winning any of their last four league matches. That said, if you were a glass half full person you can at least point to the fact that they have drawn three of this quartet of fixtures.

Whichever way you look at it though, they are sliding closer to the relegation zone and could do with a couple more positive results to ensure safety.

After City had their party ruined by their neighbours, they will certainly be in the mood to celebrate this time around and that will probably mean bad news for Swansea as the hosts ease to all three points in front of their own fans.

MEMORABLE MEETING
Sergio Aguero announced himself to the Premier League back in August 2011 when he made his debut against Swansea at the Eithad. The Argentine forward came off the bench and topped off his debut with two well-taken goals.

This performance added an exclamation mark to an already impressive victory for City, one that ended up with a 4-0 scoreline in their favour. Swansea gave a good account of themselves in the first half especially as it was 0-0, but after the restart they were blown away by Roberto Mancini’s men.

Goals from Edin Dzeko, David Silva and the aforementioned brace for Aguero meant that the Swans would make the long journey back to South Wales with nothing to show for it. Brendan Rodgers' men were certainly given a Premier League wake-up call in what was also their first appearance in the division.
