- Delhi were once again disappointing in their loss to fellow strugglers Royal Challengers Bangalore after posting 174/5, they fell to the hands of AB de Villiers and RCB who chased the total just four wickets down with relative ease.
- Delhi have a serious issue with their batting line-up and the pressure is growing as while Rishabh Pant has impressed scoring 223 from five innings, there is a large gulf between him and next best Jason Roy (97).
- Delhi are expected to make a change here as Dan Christian could return to provide some much needed experience and he could replace South African Chris Morris following some underwhelming performances although they may just leave Boult as their one overseas bowler and use three overseas batsman in Roy, Maxwell and Munro.
KINGS XI PUNJAB

- Kings XI made it three wins in a row after yet another big victory, this time over the highly-rated Kolkata Knight Riders. After being set 192 for victory as rain affected the match, the Kings XI were set a revised target of 125 from 13 overs, a target chased down with the loss of just the one wicket.
- In contrast to their opposition, Kings XI have three players who have scored over 100 runs so far for the season. Chris Gayle (229), Lokesh Rahul (213) and Karun Nair (139) have given Kings XI a great platform in both setting and chasing targets and Gayle especially is on fire with those runs coming in just three matches.
- It would be a surprise to see the Kings XI make any changes after such a string of dominant performances however a player like Barander Sran could make after being very expensive in the three matches he has played so far (2/109 from 12 overs).
THE PREDICTION
The Kings XI are absolutely flying at the minute and are facing the Delhi Daredevils who sit at the bottom of the table. Chris Gayle has been a revelation since coming in to the team and along with Rahul, they are combining to form a high octane opening partnership. Delhi almost need a miracle to pull off a win over the Kings XI who are now irresistible to tip against.
