THE PLAYERS
After a long FIFA eSports season, things are about to hot up with the beginning of the FIFA 19 Global Series Playoffs. The Xbox One Playoffs opens things up in Hamburg, with the PlayStation 4 Playoffs taking place in Berlin a week later. This tournament will ultimately decide who goes on to compete at the FIFA eWorld Cup in August.
Competing at the Xbox One playoffs will be a number of the best players FIFA eSports has to offer and at present none may be better than F2Tekkz. With a mammoth 12,185 Global Series points under his belt, Tekkz is already guaranteed to qualify for the FIFA eWorld Cup, but the number one ranked Xbox One FIFA 19 player will be playing to make history as he looks to win his eighth offline tournament this season.

Also competing in Hamburg will be last year’s Xbox One Global Series Playoffs champion, MegaBit. The German will be on home territory where he has shone so far this season, winning the Virtual Bundesliga with his club Werder Bremen. MegaBit currently sits fourth in the Xbox One Global Series Rankings with his spot in the FIFA eWorld Cup all but secure. This tournament for him, will be about trying to retain his title.

Those two big-hitters will be joined by the reigning FIFA eWorld Cup champion who makes the final stop on his journey to London in Hamburg. Msdossary has two FUT Champions Cups under his belt already this season and will be looking to add another major to his esteemed collection this season representing Rogue. His battles with F2Tekkz in particular this season have captivated the FIFA eSports scene and another match-up could well be on the cards in Germany.

THE PREDICTION
Despite all the permutations, a number of the top players currently on the Xbox One Global Series Rankings have qualified for the FIFA eWorld Cup regardless of their performance in Hamburg. For the rest, it will be a dogfight to see who makes up those final places within the top 16.
As for the overall tournament winner itself, it’s hard to look beyond the best performing players through the whole season. The likes of MegaBit and Msdossary will be fancied by many leading into the event, but we’re going to plump for F2Tekkz to continue his dream season in style by making it eight tournament wins for the campaign at the Xbox One Global Series Playoffs.
