Where can I stream the tournament? The tournament can be streamed live on dPlay. The broadcast will be hosted by Yngve Gjerde and include analysis by the 2018 TropSe Masters winner BorasLegend.

THE LOWDOWN

Tournament Format and Schedule

The Nordic Masters will be contested by six clubs on the PlayStation 4. These six clubs have been split into two groups of three with each team playing their group stage opponents once. The top two clubs from each group will qualify for the semi-finals with first place in Group A taking on second place in Group B and first place in Group B playing second place in Group A. All matches apart from the grand final will be a best-of-two game format while the grand final itself will be best-of-three.

14:15: Group A – Ranheim vs Brondby IF

15:15: Group B – Orebro SK vs Valerenga

16:15: Group A – Malmo vs Brondby IF

17:15: Group B – FC Koebenhavn vs Valerenga

18:30: Semi-final 1

19:30: Semi-final 2

20:45: Grand Final

Are there rules regarding what teams/players can be used for the tournament?

Each game will be played in the FIFA Ultimate Team mode, with each player free to use their own UT in the competition.

Who will be competing in the tournament?

A total of six clubs around Scandinavia have qualified for the Nordic Masters. These are the winners and either the runners-up or third-placed team from the three domestic Scandinavian leagues: the Swedish eAllSvenskan, the Danish eSuperLiga and the Norwegian Altibox eSerien.

What prizes are up for grabs?

A cash pool of $10,000 will be on offer at the Nordic Masters. It will be a winner-takes-all competition with the champions collecting the full prize pot.

THE CLUBS

The Nordic Masters sees the best of Scandinavia meet each other head on at DreamHack Summer as they battle in teams of two to bring home the title to their respective club and be crowned the 'FIFA Kings of the North'.

The Danish teams competing at the tournament will be eSuperliga Season 2 champions FC Kobenhavn and runners-up Brondby IF. FC Kobenhavn consists of experienced FIFA pros Agge and Marcuzo from its eSports arm North. The two good friends are vastly experienced in playing together and the most decorated team heading into the event. Their Danish counterparts Brondby IF are made up of two well-known players themselves with Dingo and former FIFA eClub World Cup winner Fredberg once again donning the famous yellow.

The Swedish clubs competing on home soil at the event will be eAllSvenskan champions Malmo FF, who are represented by Davve1111 and Zackey00. They triumphed over Orebro SK in the grand final of that tournament, but the Nordic Masters provides a great opportunity for Wetteus and Yarra to bounce back for 'OSK' on their own turf.

The Norweigan sides who will line up at the event are firstly the Altibox eSerien winners Valerenga. They will be represented by Arko and Hyper of NordavindGG, who did the Oslo-based club proud by lifting the domestic Norwegian championship back in May. Third place in the competition went to Ranheim and they will join Valerenga at the Nordic Masters. Representing them will be SondreVoktor and Faeraaz.

THE PREDICTION

It is expected to be an exciting battle at DreamHack Summer as 12 of the best players Scandinavia has to offer come together and compete, with six clubs vying for the title of Nordic Masters champions. Whilst every team is here on merit, some line-ups look far stronger on paper than others. This leads us to the two Danish clubs FC Kobenhavn and Brondby IF. Of the four players representing the two clubs, all four are national champions with three of them winning major championships in their FIFA careers to date.

We believe the winner will come from one of those two clubs and when we look at the players involved and their respective experience on FIFA 19, this leads us to the conclusion that Agge and Marcuzo will warm up for next month’s Global Series Playoffs in style. Their experience, pedigree, teamwork and winning mentality sees FC Kobenhavn enter the Nordic Masters as favourites and they are our pick to win it all and become the 'FIFA Kings of the North'.
